A booster dose is used to give better protection to people who have already had a COVID-19 vaccine course.

We are currently offering booster doses of vaccine to all those aged 16 years of age and over and prioritising at risk groups as per HSE guidance. These are for patients of the Palms GP Surgery only. Please complete the form below if you wish to receive a booster vaccine at the surgery and we will contact you with an appointment once vaccines are available. Please read the information below on the vaccine also.

We have been provided with a limited supply of booster doses and it is important to note that the HSE is also providing these boosters through vaccination centres and pharmacies.

Please wear a loose fitting shirt or blouse as the vaccine will be given in the upper arm.

Car park space is very limited so please try and park in nearby car parks if possible

How long to wait before getting a booster

You need to wait at least 3 months after your second vaccine dose before you can get a booster.

If you had COVID-19

If you had COVID-19 since you were vaccinated, you should get your booster dose at least 3 months after your positive test result.


Do not go to your booster appointment if you:

Flu vaccine

It is safe to get your COVID-19 vaccine at the same time as the flu vaccine or any other vaccines you may need.
