Face Masks

We would ask that all patients attending the Palms surgery for any appointment would wear a face mask. This will ensure we minimise spread of COVID 19 as much as possible within the practice.

There has now been guidance issued on the wearing of face masks by the general public and you can look at the guidance here.

The main recommendations are that the public do not need medical masks and that a cloth covering of the face will suffice. There are links to designs and information on making your own cloth face mask.

Washing your hands regularly and adhering to the social distancing recommendations are still the best means of reducing spread of COVID. The use of masks is an additional step but it is not compulsory nor does it replace other measures especially hand washing and keeping 2m apart.
